03.30.07 UPDATE: The county coroner identified the man who burned to death in earlier this week. The coroner's officer identified him as John L. Bowers Jr., 53, of 5005 Summer Hill Lane in Murrysville and ruled that he died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.

03.28.07 ORIGINAL POST: After the newspaper went to press last night (Tuesday, March 27), the body of a man was found in a burning car at a home in Summer Hill Lane in Murrysville. The body has not yet been identified.

The Westmoreland County Coroner's office will perform an autopsy and dental exam this afternoon. Murrysville police are investigating the incident. See next week's Murrysville Star for more information.
