Murrysville Dek Hockey League
Information and Fall Schedule and Week 7 Results
The Murrysville Dek Hockey League enters Week 8 on its Fall Session. More than 160 players participate in the Chipmunk Division (Ages 6 and under), Penguin Division (Ages 7-9) and Beaver Division (Ages 10-12) in developmental and competitive Dek Hockey. Please attend the FREE Instructional Clinics are held every Saturday at 1:00 PM for all new and existing players. Please contact Jeff Mauro if your team is interested in practice time.

The much anticipated Winter Session will begin in early December and conclude in mid-February and registration will begin prior to the Murrysville Dek Hockey Weekend. As part of the Murrysville Dek Hockey Weekend and playoffs, we are planning [Weather Permitting] on having a Fall-Fest Cookout on Saturday November 17th beginning at 11:00 AM and running all afternoon. Highlights: Beaver Black is rounding into form for the upcoming playoffs as a sleeper in the Beaver Division and had a big outing against Green with a 9-4 victory. Andrew White made a surprise start in Goal and picked up the victory. Jamie Mauro led the attack with 4 goals, while Tyler Watson and Kelton Black scored a pair and Ryan Watson rounded out the scoring. Ryan Collette scored twice and Austin Avampato and Danny Ferriero scored for Green

Highlights: In a battle for first place in the Beaver Division, Christian Tierno scored his 4th goal of the contest with :49 to go to give Blue a thrilling 4-3 victory over Red. The game was a see-saw affair as Red took the lead courtesy of a hat trick from Nicco Cecere. Both Blue’s Max Zahrobsky and Red’s Corey White played outstanding in goal for their teams.

Highlights: Penguin Gray and Gold came into the game tied for first place and Gray took control of this one building a 7-0 lead through two periods and cruise to victory. Nick Gismondi scored five times and Jamie Mauro scored four and added six assists for Gray. Aiden Wiley scored twice, Joe Gismondi a single score and Zach Henry yielded only a third period score to Gold’s Anthony Cecere.

Highlights: The hottest team in the Penguin Division is Penguin Red and they had no problem disposing Penguin Black 10-1. Justin Lewis scored five goals, Nick Carretta notched a hat trick and Maxx Mastermonico and Austin Shick scored for Red. Brandon Meszar scored for Black.

Highlights: Penguin White and Panguin Green battled into the third period tied at 2-2, but White’s Joey Goldstein scored his 2nd goal of the game with 2 ½ minutes to play to make the difference as White picked up a hard fought 4-2 win over Green. Zack Bauerle and Zack Zappata also scored for White and Johnny Aiello made some big saves in goal. Justin Gismondi and Davey Soltesz scored for Green.

Highlights: Penguin Blue rebounded from its loss last week and Penguin Purple took the brunt as Blue pasted them 10-2. Ryan Collette scored 8 goals and Tyler Stewart and Blaise Drowser pitched in scores as Tanner Flock was a wall in goal for Blue. BryanPatrick Farren scored both goals for Purple.

Highlights: Chipmunk Gold raced to an early lead and held on for a 5-1 win over Chipmunk Blue. Both teams are vastly improved and preparing for the big game in a few weeks as the Chipmunks head into Week 8.
