Murrysville resident George O'Donnell dreams of a special place for children and adults with special needs to gather and play.

For thousands of people in Southwestern Pennsylvania with physical disabilities, the notion of being able to swing a bat and run to first base, has been but a dream.

But through the diligence and determination of a group of Murrysville residents there may soon be a "Miracle Field" -- a special ballpark and play area that will remove all the boundaries that physically handicapped children suffer from, giving them the opportunity to play ball and enjoy activities on a field designed to meet their needs.

In 1995, Murrysville resident George O'Donnell established the "Friends to Friends" organization, whose goal is to bring special needs children and their families together for social gatherings.

The Pittsburgh Trib has complete story details.
