In brief: Crowfoot Sportsman's Club hosting Youth SportsFest Camp this Saturday in Murrysville
The National Rifle Association will sponsor a Youth SportsFest Camp at the Crowfoot Sportsman's Club in Murrysville on Saturday.
The camp will feature training in the safe handling of shotguns, rifles, black powder, and archery equipment under the supervision of experienced instructors.
The camp will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m., and is being held at 4997 Crowfoot Road in Murrysville.

Franklin Area Midget Football Association will host a golf outing at Meadowink Golf Course on July 25 to raise money for the upcoming season for players ages 6 to 14.
Cost is $90 per person and includes dinner, prizes, golf, etc. Hole sponsorship is $60, and the registration deadline is Monday. Space is limited. There will be a fairway lunch and steak dinner.

FRAA results
FRAA-Morgan improved to 16-2 on July 8 with a playoff win in Pony League action.
Morgan defeated PAL-Drew Menas Restaurant, 10-4. Horgan struck out eight batters over four innings to earn the win and was helped by Madera's four strikeouts in three innings of relief.
Carolla led the way at the plate with two doubles and a single to go 3 for 3.
Zimmerman added a double. Segina and Jakiela each smacked two singles, and adding hits were Madera, Glancy, O'Block, Hyland and Barron.
Lacrosse camp
To help promote lacrosse at the middle school level, Franklin Regional will host skill sessions during the summer to introduce boys and girls entering grades one through four to lacrosse.
The sessions will be on Mondays at the high school stadium from 6 to 7 p.m. through Aug. 4.
Clinics will be noncontact so that both boys and girls can participate. The cost will be $10. Sticks will be provided.

Hoop it up
Coach Rob Greenleaf will host the Franklin Regional Lady Panther Basketball Camp for junior high players from Aug. 4 to 7, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
"Building Champions" camps are available for $100 per camper. Camps will be held at Franklin Regional High School.
