The WPIAL Baseball Coaches Association announced the All-Star teams for its fifth annual All-Star games last week.

The games are scheduled for June 14 at Burkett Field in Robinson Township.

Three local players were selected to the Quad A team. Franklin Regional's Seve Franceshelli and Mike Pelekanos and Penn-Trafford's Chris Rasky will play in the prestigious contest.

The first game of the doubleheader will start at 5 p.m. and will pit the WPIAL Class A All-Stars versus the WPIAL Class AA All-Stars. The second game will start at approximately 8 p.m. and will match the WPIAL Class AAA All-Stars against the WPIAL Class AAAA All-Stars.

Seventy-six players will participate in the doubleheader, representing 58 regional high schools.

Players selected for the game will be honored at an awards banquet at 7 p.m. on June 13 at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe.
