Ryan Kugler
chef, artist who enjoyed music, sports
Ryan D. Kugler of White Valley -- a chef and an artist who enjoyed music, sports, animals and the outdoors -- died Oct. 22, 2009. He was 35.
Mr. Kugler was born July 25, 1974, in Greensburg to Darlene (DeFalco) Kugler of White Valley and the late Ernest A. Kugler Jr.
He is survived by two siblings, Scott A. Kugler of White Valley and Kimberly Lambert of North Carolina; his paternal grandparents, Elsie and Ernest A. Kugler Sr. of Monroeville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Frances Glovack
Murrysville woman
Frances Claire Clovack of Murrysville, a member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Murrysville, died Oct. 23, 2009, in the William Penn Care Center, Penn Township. She was 85.
Mrs. Clovack was born May 30, 1924, in Johnstown to the late Henry and Mary Mackowski Slezynger.
She is survived by three daughters, Jean Pettit of Fredericksburg, Va., Debra Bond and her husband, Wayne Paris, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Cindee Riston and her husband, Ken, of Ocala, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jonathon, Kenny, Jessica and Stacy; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Glovack.
Interment was in Grandview Cemetery, Export.
Hart Funeral Home Inc. in Murrysville handled arrangements.
Helen Rogers
Delmont woman
Helen L. "Sis" Rogers of Delmont, a homemaker and a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Delmont, died Oct. 19, 2009, in Western Pennsylvania Hospital-Forbes Regional Campus, Monroeville. She was 90.
Mrs. Rogers was born Dec. 5, 1918, in Delmont to the late Ray and Ruth (Lauffer) Keenan.
She is survived by a son, Charles W. Rogers of Ocean City, Md.; a brother, Jerry Keenan of South Carolina; four grandchildren, Timothy, Sandra, Michelle and James; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles M. Rogers; three brothers, John, Harold and Clarence "Bub" Keenan; and a sister, Betty Allwine.
Visitation and services, officiated by the Rev. James R. Wagner of Faith United Methodist Church in Delmont, were at Vaia Funeral Home Inc., Delmont. Entombment was in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
Josephine Yannuzzi
Retired bookkeeper
Josephine (DiClaudio) Yannuzzi of Export, a retired bookkeeper who had 40 years of service with Manordale Services Inc. in Murrysville, died Oct. 18, 2009, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was 92.
Mrs. Yannuzzi, a daughter of the late Angelo and Elizabeth (Carfang) DiClaudio, enjoyed in-home and outside gardening, reading and dancing.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Arthur N. Yannuzzi; three siblings, Stella Roberts of Export, Joseph DiClaudio of Jeannette and Viola Maffessanti of Penn Township; four nephews; five nieces; and many great-nieces, great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Anne Isabella Yannuzzi.
Visitation and services were at Vaia Funeral Home Inc., Delmont. Interment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
Minnie Shapiro
great-great grandmother
Minnie L. (DeMuzzio) Shapiro of Delmont, a 69-year member of Hillcrest United Presbyterian Church in Monroeville, died Oct. 16, 2009. She was 98.
Mrs. Shapiro is survived by two children, William L. (and wife, Nancy) Shapiro of Leesburg, Fla., and Sylvia R. Nalepa of Delmont; two siblings, James DeMuzzio and Eva Dopko; four grandchildren, Kathleen Nalepa, Deborah Baloga, William P. Shapiro and Marcy Painter; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Saul Shapiro.
Visitation and services were at Jobe Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Monroeville. Interment was in Churchill Cemetery, Wilkins Township.

Maria Remaley
Great-grandmother
Former Murrysville resident Maria A. Remaley died Oct. 15, 2009. She was 83.
Mrs. Remaley was born Nov. 17, 1925, in Belgium to the late Cornelius and Josephina Dierckx DeLaet.
She attended the New Hope Presbyterian Church, North Huntingdon, and was a member of the Penns Woods Seniors.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed working in her yard and dancing, and nature.
Mrs. Remaley had been living in North Huntington.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary (and husband, Bill) Thomas of Phoenix, and Sheila (and Cary) Good of North Huntingdon; five grandchildren, Bill, Randy, Jeff, Corey and Stacey; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marie Louise Van Boechel and Anne DeHoon, both of Belgium.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Y. Remaley; and a son, Joseph R. Remaley.
Visitation and services, officiated by the Rev. Janet Reid, were at the Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrys-ville. Interment was in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
Russell Oft
Westinghouse worker
Russell Oft of Murrysville, a Westinghouse employee with more than 30 years of service, died Oct. 17, 2009. He was 65.
Mr. Oft is survived by a son, Russell Oft and his wife, Julie Pryor, of Plum; three grandchildren, Troy, Justin and Niyah; and a brother, Dennis Oft.
Visitation was at Soxman Funeral Homes Ltd., Penn Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, Plum. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Hazelwood.
