54th Legislative District - Representative Pallone Recieves Endorsements!

State Representative John E. Pallone, D – Armstrong & Westmoreland Counties, announced that he has recived another endorsement as his grass roots campaign for election continues. The UNITED MINE WORKERS has again voted to endorse John Pallone as their candidate for the 54th Legislative District representing Northern Westmoreland and Southern Armstrong Counties.

"I am an old fashion kind of guy and I am proud to have the support of my friends from labor and the Mine Workers are part of the back bone of our society. I am honored to recieve their support." Pallone said.

The 54th Legislative District includes Arnold, New Kensington, Lower Burrell, Upper Burrell, Allegheny Township, Murrysville, Export and part of Penn Township in Westmoreland County and Cadogan, Gilpin, Parks and Bethel Townships in Armstrong County.

Representatinve John Pallone is also endorsed by the Westmoreland County Democratic Committee and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Pallone's seniority, together with his important committee assignments, has enabled him to bring millions of dollars to the district for a variety of infrastructure improvement projects, funding for the second phase of feasibility study necessary to secure federal funding for the proposed Eastern Corridor Commuter Rail to Pittsburgh, increased funding for special and basic education, funding for recreation programs and public libraries and much more. Representative Pallone is one of only a few current representatives that voted against and did not accept the 2001 pension grab instituted by then Republican Governor Tom Ridge. Pallone also spoke out and voted against the controversial 2005 pay raise, did not accept the unvouchered expense payment, and voted to repeal the pay raise.

Representative John Pallone is 47 years old, married and has been a life-long resident of the Alle-Kiski Valley and the 54th Legislative District. He is a graduate of Valley High School, Grove City College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics & Business and earned his Juris Doctor at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. His employment background and experience documents professional experience in both the public and private sectors.
