- Occupation: Co-Chair for Relay For Life of Murrysville, Volunteer for the American Cancer Society
Bio
My family moved to Murrysville in June of 2002 from Wisconsin.
In 2005 I was invited to share the position of Co-Chair for the Relay For Life in Murrysville. Our 2006 Relay was a huge success. We raised over $56,000, Congratulations Murrysville! The funds we raise will help support the many programs and services provided by the American Cancer Society, as well as fund much needed research.
I feel very strongly about putting an end to the suffering from cancer. I have made it my mission to work with the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. On September 19, 2006 I traveled to the National Mall in Washington DC to Celebration on the Hill, an event sposored by the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network. I meet with our legislators and asked for their support on issues supporting cancer research and programs. Our legislators listened and signed the Congressional Cancer Promise, making cancer a National Healthcare Priority.
